Were you able to push the remote agent to the box that youre failing to establish the trust with or did you have to manually install it. Try uninstalling the remote agent and repushing it.

I'm super hisitant to with any whose backups are functional, but on my dev, beta and test, servers that don't have the backup agent installed, it works perfectly fine. Does that help diagnose it any more?

I updated SSR 2013 to SP1 on our server and the Hyper-V failure errors in the logs have disappeared.  I will continue to monitor the logs for a while but it looks like SP1 corrects the issue.

Sorry inn_kam. Your post of a zfs file system problem is associated with a restor time issue.  This thread involves a problem registering a client during a normal BMR enabled backup.  If the client was in a restoring phase, it obvioulsy was already properly registered.

thanks Markus for pointing me here.. not sure how to  utilize this though... we are using the Altiris CMS to manage SSR and the VBS would require some real tuning to get all 10 sites with 20 current backup policies working via vbs... with 0 user input...   still going to take a look.. thanks for posting up!

This issue is due to be addressed in forthcoming Backup Exec Service Pack, but a pre-release patch is available that has helped resolve this issue. Can I please suggest a Support case is opened with Symantec for this, so that we can confirm the scenario is the same and provide that patch, if appropriate.
