thanks Markus for pointing me here.. not sure how to  utilize this though... we are using the Altiris CMS to manage SSR and the VBS would require some real tuning to get all 10 sites with 20 current backup policies working via vbs... with 0 user input...   still going to take a look.. thanks for posting up!

It is not big deal to enter a new temp license to appliance before starting the installation, but yes it is a good idea. Ones I had forgot to put the new lic before the installation and then I had to reset it and start again.

This issue is due to be addressed in forthcoming Backup Exec Service Pack, but a pre-release patch is available that has helped resolve this issue. Can I please suggest a Support case is opened with Symantec for this, so that we can confirm the scenario is the same and provide that patch, if appropriate.
