We are about to deploy about 2000 laptops running Fedora 12.  I would like to include the Management agent and the Symantec Endpoint Agent in the image itself.  Is this possible without causing any conflicts?

I have tried looking for these answers but haven't really gotten a clear response with details on how to do it if it can be done.

Thanks,

Kris Turner

Hi kristopherjturner,

I think that you could test the following process: https://kb.altiris.com/article.asp?article=21004&p=1 (How to install the NS Agent for Unix without assigning a GUID). The main problem to image a computer with Altiris Agent is because the GUID should be unique, so if you install without assigning a GUID, you are able to image and redistribute for other computers whitout duplicated guids problem.

Test with some machines and verify NS reports to monitoring duplicate guids.

Regards,
