Some IMG folders are not erased if expired IMG media is reclaimed during Granular Recovery Technology (GRT) enabled differential backup of VMware virtual machine using Agent for VMware Virtual Infrastructure (AVVI)

Some IMG folders are not erased if expired IMG media is reclaimed during Granular Recovery Technology (GRT) enabled differential backup of VMware virtual machine using Agent for VMware Virtual Infrastructure (AVVI). As a workaround, please delete all the empty remaining IMG folders and their subdirectories manually.

Problem

Symantec System Recovery (SSR) recovery point set backups to a Dell RD1000 drive fail with the error listed below.

File/Folder level backups to the same drive are successful.

Error

E7D1001F Error: Can not write to the file.
