I got 360 Dell Optiplex 780 SFF systems that are having a problem. The boot menu shows up for all other systems we have on hand Dell 5400, Dell 520, Dell 620, Dell 745, Dell 755, HP 2300DX but not for these systems. I have looked at the BIOS and cannot find a problem other than it is very new Feb 2010. My DS is on a 2003 server we are using PXE tried with DOS and also with WinPE still nothing. I only have 10 items in the boot menu so its not overly populated. Please any help would be appreciated

Take one of the Dell 780's and down rev the BIOS to an earlier version. So if you currently have A02 try A01 for example. The one you are using might be buggy on the PXE side.

Kind Regards,
Ian./

Not an easy task I finally got the A02 BIOS I was at A03 will install in the morning and see if that solves my issue. I spoke with Symantec support and they are aware of the problem and pointed me back to dell for a BIOS rev change. Dell has not been easy to get the info from but I think I finally got the old bios from an older thread on the dell forum. Will post when I get things working.

Jeanne, can you tell me where you got the A02 BIOS?  I can't find it anywhere, and I'm having the same issue with 780's.

Thanks,

Lewis
