Starting layer does not automatically start related applications

Hi,

I have Windows 7 x64 and I used SWV 6.1 SP6 MP1 HF1 till today, for personal use only (i.e. just virtualize my apps). I was experiencing issues with the "run" key in the registry menu, that is autorunning applications were not starting if I started a layer. Basically I solved it by putting a link to the application in the [STARTUP] variable in the read only area or in the user specific [STARTUP] variable in the user specific area.

Now I have just updated to SP7. The result is that even the STARTUP menu does no longer work. This is quite annoying.

What can be the root cause? Has anyone faced this before?

Thanks in advance.

We have several bugs around the run and runonce keys not working on x64 that are fixed for our next major release Chrysler which should be out early next year.

No.  As I stated it's in Chrysler which currently does not have a release number.

Many Thanks.

Meanwhile I've found one of these potential bugs. It seems that the run menu can work, proven that I enclose the string in double quotes ("). Maybe this might be of help.
