Hi All,

We are currently experiencing an issue opening files hosted on a sharepoint 2010 site via a virtual IE8 layer.  When trying to open these files via a hypertext link the vIE8 instance comes back with the standard 'cannot display the webpage' - 'Diagnose Connection Problems' page.  Now, if we edit the link to take out the actual filename it will browse to the site correctly and display the list of files, then we are able to select the file originally in the list and it will open the relative application and the file.

This is not a problem if we install IE8 locally, it only occurs via a virtual instance of IE8.

We are using xp with office 2003.

Any advice would be appreciated.
