Hi,

since v4.3 I am hoping that you will change the authentication method of the oracle agent for windows and match it to the way that it's being done in the Unix version.

For windows you require OS authentication which requires changing the authentication in sqlnet.ora to NTS.

This is causing many problems...

e.g, right now I have a server that when configured to NTS, the windows system account can not connect (ORA 3113).

in the past I also had issue when trying to connect from remote.

Due to these problems I had to disable the in depth oracle check (and remove the NTS..).

in the Unix version, there is a simple way to configure the username and password to be use by oracle agent.

Will you consider adding that ability to configure username/password for the windows version as well and dont force us to use NTS ?

Thanks,

Tomer.

Engineering is considering adding Oracle Authentication with the Windows agent. When depends on how it is prioritized based on requests received for it.
